Property Tax Paralegal

The candidate will assist in the preparation of administrative complaints (training provided). Manage all docketing and keep track of case files in New York State and for out-of-state matters to ensure the attorney is prepared for all filings and court appearances. Take initiative to prepare necessary draft documents (training provided). Work collaboratively with the attorney to arrange for filings. Electronically file documents in various court formats. Three-plus years of relevant paralegal experience and a two- or four-year degree, paralegal certificate, or a combination of current work experience and education desired. Should have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written; professional demeanor; proactive work style with a strong aptitude for Microsoft Office Suite tools, and specifically a strong working knowledge of Excel; ability to multitask to manage multiple files and deadlines; detail-oriented with the ability to work independently in a highly confidential environment; strong research skills utilizing various online research tools.
