The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials, including a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school, and must be an active member in good standing in the Connecticut Bar. With a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, you will play a pivotal role in advising clients on complex international estate planning matters.

As a Senior International Estate Planning Associate Attorney, you will have the opportunity to guide U.S. clients with foreign assets, assisting them in structuring their holdings to minimize U.S. taxes. This role involves collaborating with foreign counsel on various aspects, including estate plan documents benefiting foreign beneficiaries, tax and estate planning structures for non-U.S. citizen spouses, renunciation of U.S. citizenship, and structuring ownership in foreign businesses to optimize U.S. tax implications.

Your responsibilities will also encompass drafting U.S. estate plan documents for clients with foreign assets or foreign beneficiaries and administering estates of U.S. individuals owning foreign assets. Additionally, you will provide guidance to foreign clients in structuring investments in the U.S., with a focus on real estate acquisitions and tax-efficient asset transfers.
