Job Overview: A law firm in Louisville, KY, is seeking a Bankruptcy/Restructuring Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of complex Chapter 11 case experience. Experience in handling complex workouts and restructurings in the automotive and mobility industry is highly desirable.

Duties:

• Represent debtors, secured creditors, official committees, and unsecured creditors in complex bankruptcy cases.
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients throughout the bankruptcy and restructuring process.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to bankruptcy proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support client cases and strategies.
• Attend court hearings, meetings, and negotiations on behalf of clients.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case management and strategy.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in handling complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases.
• Experience in the automotive and mobility industry restructurings is an asset.
• Strong academic record from an accredited law school.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Admitted to practice law in Kentucky or eligible for admission through reciprocity.
• Knowledge of bankruptcy laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Kentucky State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.
