Location:

• Fresno, CA

Duties:

• Advise clients on legal rights and strategic options throughout the criminal defense process

• Draft legal documents, including motions and briefs, relevant to criminal defense matters

• Represent clients at pretrial hearings, trials, sentencing, and other court proceedings

• Perform legal research and analyze case law and precedents

• Prepare clients for depositions and interviews with law enforcement or opposing counsel

• Interview witnesses and coordinate expert testimony to support defense strategy

• Accumulate and examine evidence to develop case arguments and rebut prosecution claims

• Maintain client communication and provide status updates and recommendations

• Collaborate with the criminal defense team, including attorneys and legal assistants

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing criminal defense law

• Proven track record handling complex criminal cases at local, state, and/or federal levels

• Ability to manage a full caseload independently

• Strong courtroom presence and motion practice experience

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the State of California

Skills:

• Excellent oral and written advocacy skills

• Strong legal research and case strategy development abilities

• High-level interpersonal and client communication skills

• Detail-oriented and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required

• Team-oriented and collaborative work ethic
