Junior to Mid-Level Structured Finance Associate

Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join its Structured Finance practice group. This full-time hybrid position is available in several major U.S. cities and offers the opportunity to work on complex derivatives and structured finance transactions for high-profile institutional clients. The ideal candidate will have experience negotiating ISDA documentation, handling regulatory protocols, and working within a fast-paced legal environment. Location:

• Boston, MA

Duties:

• Draft and negotiate structured finance and derivative transaction documents, including:

  • ISDA Master Agreements

  • Schedules

  • Credit Support Annexes

  • Confirmations and related documentation

• Interpret and apply ISDA protocols, including those related to Dodd-Frank and similar regulatory frameworks

• Provide strategic legal counsel on regulatory and transactional matters

• Work collaboratively with attorneys across offices and departments

• Conduct legal research and contribute to client deliverables

• Communicate efficiently with clients, internal teams, and external parties

• Maintain compliance with firm policies and legal industry standards

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in structured finance and/or derivatives

• Familiarity with over-the-counter derivatives and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Dodd-Frank)

• Experience working at an Am Law 100 firm preferred

• Ability to manage a fast-paced, deadline-driven workload independently and collaboratively

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the jurisdiction of the office location (IL, NY, CA, or TX)

Skills:

• Strong legal drafting and transactional negotiation skills

• Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking abilities

• Effective verbal and written communication

• Attention to detail and sound business judgment

• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments
