A law firm seeks a Family Law Attorney in Rockville, MD. The ideal candidate will zealously represent clients in various family law matters, including prenuptial agreements, divorce, alimony, and child support. The role requires handling sensitive issues such as child custody and domestic violence with composure and effective negotiation skills.

Duties

• Prepare legal documents for a high volume of cases, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Analyze client situations to develop strategic action plans.
• Manage divorce proceedings, including asset division.
• Organize and maintain current client files.
• Collaborate with paralegals and senior partners to expedite litigation processes.
• Lead negotiations and mediations to secure settlements.
• Conduct and defend depositions, preparing clients and witnesses.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of first-chair trial experience in family law.
• Licensed to practice law in Maryland; DC and VA licensure preferred.
• Experience in hearings, trials, and mediation.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage both plaintiff and defendant cases.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree required.

Certifications

• Bar license in the State of MD.
