Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Real Estate practice group in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate finance transactions and the ability to manage complex, multi-party deals.

Duties

• Represent lenders in the origination of large, structured commercial real estate finance transactions.
• Coordinate complex transactions, including managing closing checklists and overseeing due diligence.
• Collaborate effectively with paralegals and other deal team members.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a law firm or similar environment.
• Strong project management skills.
• Experience with mezzanine loans, preferred equity, asset management, or loan workouts is a plus.
• Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.
