Job Overview:
A reputable law firm located in Syracuse, NY, is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its Trusts and Estates practice group. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated estate and trust planning and administration matters while collaborating with a team of experienced professionals in a supportive environment.

Duties:

• Prepare and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care proxies

• Assist with trust and estate administration, including probate proceedings and trust funding

• Advise clients on wealth transfer strategies, tax implications, and asset protection

• Collaborate with team members and other departments for comprehensive client service

• Conduct legal research and draft related legal memoranda

• Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and financial institutions as needed

Requirements:

• Admission to practice law in New York State

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in trusts and estates law

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters concurrently with attention to detail

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research and drafting
