Job Overview: A respected law firm based in New York City is seeking an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join their team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled attorney to work on a variety of insurance defense matters. The ideal candidate will be involved in cases from start to finish, providing legal guidance, research, and support for clients and collaborating with senior attorneys on complex litigation.

Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload of insurance defense cases from initiation to resolution.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on insurance laws and regulations.
• Draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and other papers.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and contribute to strategy development.
• Provide clear legal advice and support to clients in the insurance defense sector.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in New York; New Jersey admission is a plus.
• Strong legal writing and communication skills.
• Experience in civil litigation preferred.
• A background in legal project management is a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset and excellent interpersonal skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in New York (New Jersey license is highly preferred).

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in drafting legal documents and court filings.
• Experience in insurance defense law is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with others.
