Duties

• Conduct trademark clearance searches and advise on registrability.
• Prepare and prosecute trademark applications before the USPTO.
• Draft responses to Office Actions.
• Manage domestic and international trademark portfolios.
• Advise clients on brand protection and enforcement strategy.
• Assist with trademark disputes and related litigation as needed.

Requirements

• 0-3 years of experience in a law firm or relevant internship/clinic.
• Strong interest in trademark prosecution and IP strategy.
• Excellent writing skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage deadlines across multiple matters.
• Strong client communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admitted to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills

• Experience with USPTO filings (TEAS) and Office Action responses is a plus.
• Familiarity with trademark clearance tools (e.g., TESS, common law searches) is beneficial.
• Exposure to TTAB proceedings or IP litigation is advantageous.
• Background or coursework in intellectual property law is preferred.
