Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Construction Litigator in Fairfax, VA, to represent design professionals in construction law matters. The role involves handling claims of professional negligence and contract disputes related to design changes, with some cases involving construction defects and bodily injury.

• Duties
• Represent design professionals in litigation involving contract claims and professional negligence.
• Conduct pre-trial work, including motion practice, discovery, and collaboration with expert witnesses.
• Engage in trial proceedings in federal, state, or tribal courts, and arbitration.
• Work with insurance carriers and manage coverage issues.

• Requirements
• Experience in construction law representing architects, engineers, and surveyors.
• Trial experience in federal, state, or tribal courts, and/or arbitration.
• Experience with insurance carriers and coverage is advantageous.
• Prior experience at a reputable law firm is preferred.
• A portable book of business of $350K is preferred, but not required.

• Education
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

• Certifications
• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

• Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with expert witnesses.
