Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled Attorney specializing in Bankruptcy to join their team. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work from anywhere in the United States.

Duties

• Attend hearings and prepare local appearance counsel with clear instructions.
• Provide timely hearing results internally and to clients upon request.
• Review and sign pleadings to ensure compliance with rules before submission.
• Monitor ECFs and dockets, escalating actionable events as needed.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of internal and external systems.
• Maintain templates compliant with local, federal, and judge-specific rules.
• Manage and mitigate risk on files of interest to the firm or clients.
• Provide loan-level support and detailed legal analysis to staff and clients.
• Guide staff in preparing pleadings and improve processes with leadership.
• Stay updated on relevant case law and bankruptcy code developments.

Requirements

• Active bar admission in the state of hire with good standing status.
• Admission or eligibility for admission to all bankruptcy courts in the state.
• Experience or willingness to gain knowledge in representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional organizational skills and adaptability to change.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar membership in the state of hire.

Skills

• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in legal writing and document preparation.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
