Job Title: Pre-Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm based in Cleveland, OH is seeking an experienced and driven attorney to manage a substantial caseload of personal injury matters in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role requires a proactive legal professional skilled in negotiating settlements, managing litigation files pre-suit, and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate brings a track record of handling plaintiff or defense personal injury cases and excels in both independent and collaborative settings.

Duties:

• Conduct thorough investigations to establish liability and support damages claims

• Lead negotiations in settlement discussions, including medical lien resolution

• Communicate regularly and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, insurance representatives, and court personnel

• Contribute to collaborative case strategy and firm-wide objectives

• Provide oversight and guidance to legal support staff

• Maintain accurate documentation and file status updates using firm case management systems

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Ohio

• Between 2-5 years of experience in plaintiff or defense personal injury litigation

• Background in insurance defense or prior claims handling is strongly preferred

• Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively and efficiently

• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills

• Demonstrated ability to communicate persuasively, both in writing and verbally

• Adept at working under time-sensitive conditions and managing competing deadlines

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Ohio Bar (mandatory)

Skills:

• Strong negotiation and case resolution capabilities

• Excellent interpersonal and client management skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Experience with case management software (Needles preferred)

• The team-oriented mindset with leadership experience is a plus
