A law firm based in Omaha, NE, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated associate to support its Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice. The role involves active participation in finance-related matters, including workouts, bankruptcy proceedings, and complex secured transactions. Duties:

• Advise clients on bankruptcy, restructuring, and financial workout matters

• Draft and negotiate documents for asset-backed and real estate finance transactions

• Support transactions involving specialty finance and equipment leasing structures

• Analyze complex legal and financial data to assess risk and ensure compliance

• Participate in due diligence, deal structuring, and client negotiations

• Collaborate with teams on syndicated or participated finance structures

• Stay current with bankruptcy law developments and their impact on finance deals

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in finance transactions

• Licensed to practice law in Nebraska or eligible for admission within one year

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in good standing in Nebraska (or pending eligibility within 12 months)

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of bankruptcy law and financial restructuring

• Familiarity with commercial lending and structured finance documentation

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Exceptional research, drafting, and negotiation capabilities
