Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Associate to join its team in North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have three to eight years of litigation experience with a focus on general commercial, construction, or employment litigation.

Duties

• Provide legal advice to clients on various litigation issues.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Correspond with clients and opposing counsel.
• Draft legal documents.
• Participate in legal proceedings, including depositions, motion hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.

Requirements

• 3-8 years of litigation experience.
• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina or willing to obtain a license immediately.
• Experience representing plaintiffs or defendants in civil litigation.
• Experience in hearings, depositions, and motion practice.
• Trial and arbitration experience is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
