Job Overview: A law firm is looking to hire an Immigration Associate Attorney with a focus on legal writing and immigration law. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in immigration law, particularly in legal research and drafting. This is a full-time, in-office role located in Long Island City, NY. The attorney will be responsible for representing clients in court, drafting and filing petitions, conducting legal research, and managing client consultations.

Location:

Duties:

• Draft, review, and file pleadings, petitions, and other legal documents
• Represent clients in court proceedings
• Conduct legal research and case law analysis
• Prepare memorandums of law, briefs, and appeals
• Conduct client consultations to ensure efficient case processing

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in Immigration Law
• Proficiency in legal research and legal writing
• Active membership in the New York State Bar
• Strong communication and legal drafting skills
• Ability to relocate to Long Island City, NY before starting work

Education:

• Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active member of the New York State Bar (Required)
