Location

• Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Duties

• Review case files and perform legal analysis of workers’ compensation claims.

• Conduct extensive legal research and draft client correspondence, discovery requests, summations, appeals, and appellate briefs.

• Represent clients at depositions and hearings before the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Board.

• Manage trial preparation and attend hearings and trials.

• Coordinate with and evaluate expert witnesses.

• Maintain an annual billable hour requirement of 1,950 hours.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing law, preferably with a focus on workers’ compensation.

• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently as well as within a team structure.

• Strong commitment to responsiveness regarding emails and phone communications.

• High level of professionalism and strong client relationship skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in the State of Pennsylvania.

• Admission in additional states is a plus but not required.
