Job Title: Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm located in Framingham, MA is actively seeking an experienced associate attorney to support its Workers' Compensation practice. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a motivated litigator with a strong foundation in case management, legal research, and advocacy before administrative boards. The position involves direct client interaction, representation at hearings, and hands-on responsibility in all stages of workers' compensation claims.

Duties:

• Review case files and conduct comprehensive legal analysis of workers’ compensation matters

• Draft substantive documents including client advisories, discovery materials, appeals, and legal briefs

• Handle regular appearances at depositions and administrative hearings before the Massachusetts Workers’ Compensation Board

• Manage all phases of trial preparation and attend hearings

• Collaborate with and assess expert witnesses as needed

• Meet annual billable hour requirements (1950 hours)

• Maintain consistent and professional client communication

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing law, ideally within the field of workers’ compensation or related litigation

• Licensed to practice in Massachusetts; admission in Connecticut is a plus

• Demonstrated ability to manage independent caseload and deliver high-quality work under deadlines

• Strong advocacy, organizational, and interpersonal skills

• Prompt and professional responsiveness to emails and client calls

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in Massachusetts

• Connecticut Bar admission is preferred

Skills:

• Expertise in legal research and persuasive writing

• Confident courtroom presence and oral advocacy capabilities

• Capable of working autonomously and as part of a collaborative legal team

• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving aptitude
