Job Overview:
A reputable civil litigation defense firm is seeking Attorneys with experience in Workers’ Compensation and Liability Insurance Defense to join its Newark, DE location. These positions are hands-on, offering opportunities for significant involvement in litigation with a focus on billable hours. Attorneys in these roles will be responsible for managing a caseload and handling all phases of litigation.

Location:

• Newark, DE

Duties:

• Handle cases in Workers' Compensation and Liability Insurance Defense.
• Manage a full caseload, from case inception to resolution, including court appearances, depositions, and negotiations.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with billing requirements.
• Effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and management.
• Provide timely legal advice to clients and develop strategies for case resolution.

Requirements:

• Active membership in the Delaware State Bar.
• 1-3 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on Workers’ Compensation or Liability Insurance Defense (preferred).
• Experience with billing hours and case management.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and colleagues.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Delaware Bar license.

Skills:

• Strong litigation and case management skills.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases.
• Proficiency in client communication and maintaining professional relationships.
