Duties:
Lead and manage the operations of the Estate Administration department
Oversee workflow, client engagement, internal processes, and mentorship initiatives
Handle a portfolio of intricate, high-value estate matters throughout New York and beyond
Guide and support junior attorneys and administrative staff
Participate in strategic planning and implementation of department goals
Promote and uphold strong client relationships and the firm's standards of excellence
Actively engage in client development, branding, and professional networking efforts
Requirements:
Substantial experience managing estate administration cases in New York Surrogate’s Courts
Demonstrated leadership in supervising legal teams and delegating responsibilities
Strong ability to manage sophisticated client matters independently
A record of proactive problem-solving and structured process implementation
Commitment to high-quality service delivery and maintaining client confidence
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Admission to the New York State Bar
Certifications:
Active and good standing membership with the New York State Bar
Skills:
Deep technical knowledge in estate administration and related tax implications
Strong organizational and interpersonal communication abilities
Capacity for mentorship, leadership, and team development
Strategic thinking, marketing aptitude, and business development mindset
Comfortable using legal practice technology platforms and tools
