A law firm seeks a Construction Litigator in Columbus, OH, to represent design professionals such as architects, engineers, and surveyors in cases involving professional negligence claims. The role involves handling contract disputes related to design changes, construction defects, and bodily injury or wrongful death claims.

Duties

• Represent design professionals in litigation involving contract claims and professional negligence.
• Conduct pre-trial work, including motion practice and discovery.
• Collaborate with expert witnesses to build strong cases.
• Participate in trials in federal, state, or tribal courts, and arbitration.
• Engage with insurance carriers and manage coverage issues.

Requirements

• Experience in construction law representing design professionals.
• Proven litigation experience in contract claims and professional negligence.
• Experience with insurance carriers and coverage is advantageous.
• Prior experience at a reputable law firm is preferred.
• A portable book of business of $350K is preferred but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio.
