Senior Director I, Data Stewardship - Data Compliance Leader
Responsibilities: Help develop strategic vision and roadmap for enabling Walmart’s Digital Transformation to make better decisions with Data. Ability to use subject matter expertise to develop and implement best practice around data collection, access, and usage. Structure inbound and outbound data agreements to best protect the company and maximize the value of the Company’s data. Liaise with key stakeholders domestically and internationally to support rollout of Global policies and standards. Provide subject matter expertise and legal analysis for data related matters. Inform organization on potential impact of global and local data legislation. Key player in ensuring cross-functional data implications of product decisions are surfaced with relevant parties. Work with key internal stakeholders in the review of projects and related data to ensure compliance with Data Governance Strategy, and where necessary, complete and advise on legal impact. Contribute to the enterprise Data Strategy, playing a primary role in critical elements such as developing and executing strategies for implementation of new processes to address regulatory changes. Build strong collaborative partnerships in and across organizations. Communicate effectively on progress, issues, resolution and plans at all levels, including executives and leadership. Instill the culture driving results in an iterative, agile fashion, balancing risk and speed. Research and recommend new products, tools and applications as they relate to the domain.
