Associate Attorney needed for Rockville office

Profile

A law firm located in Rockville Centre, NY, is seeking an Associate Attorney to support the department by conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, attending depositions, mediations, and preparing cases for trial. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, excellent writing skills, and experience in New York State Labor Law (Construction), Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVAs), trip/slip and fall, premise, and construction matters to handle cases from inception through trial.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research on various legal issues.
• Draft legal documents such as briefs, motions, and pleadings.
• Attend depositions and mediations.
• Prepare cases for trial.
• Handle cases involving New York State Labor Law (Construction), MVAs, trip/slip and fall, premise, and construction matters.
• Provide support to the department as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in New York.
• Strong background in legal research.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Experience in handling cases from inception through trial.
• Familiarity with New York State Labor Law (Construction), MVAs, trip/slip and fall, premise, and construction matters.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in New York.
