Position Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in Golden Valley, MN, is seeking an Associate Attorney with a focus on consumer collections litigation. The candidate will handle legal matters in and out of court, including case management, dispute resolution, and client interactions. Duties:

• Advocate for clients in legal collection matters, both inside and outside the courtroom.
• Assess legal cases thoroughly and provide practical legal advice.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, and correspondence.
• Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel and pro se parties to resolve disputes.
• Document case activity according to firm policies and procedures.
• Travel to various courts in the state to manage litigation processes.
• Conduct legal research and provide opinions on laws, regulations, and rulings.
• Communicate effectively with clients to maintain and grow relationships.
• Participate in ongoing education to stay updated on relevant laws and court procedures.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements:

• Active law license in the state of Minnesota with no disciplinary history.
• Experience or strong interest in consumer collections litigation.
• Familiarity with civil litigation processes and consumer protection laws.
• Ability to collaborate within a team to identify and implement high-quality solutions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members toward achieving goals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to a wide range of audiences.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Must hold an active Minnesota law license.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Minnesota.
