Job Overview: A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking an Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate should possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited university, be an active member in good standing with the New York Bar, and have 1-5 years of experience in various practice areas related to premises liability, auto/trucking liability, general liability, insurance defense, construction defect, medical malpractice, nursing home and other senior care defense, first-party property, first-party auto, commercial litigation, employment litigation, and/or workers’ compensation defense. Additionally, having a portable book of business is a plus. Job Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in various practice areas, including premises liability, auto/trucking liability, general liability, insurance defense, construction defect, medical malpractice, nursing home and other senior care defense, first-party property, first-party auto, commercial litigation, employment litigation, and workers’ compensation defense.
• Conduct legal research and analysis and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts.
• Represent clients in court, mediation, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex cases.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and billable hours.
• Keep abreast of legal developments, statutes, and case law to ensure effective representation of clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional client service.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited university.
• Active membership in good standing with the New York Bar.
• 1-5 years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience in one or more of the practice areas mentioned.
• A portable book of business is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited university.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York Bar.
