A law firm seeks a motivated and dedicated Associate Attorney in Gretna, LA. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the law, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to a variety of cases while working closely with experienced attorneys.

Duties

• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Attend court hearings, client meetings, and depositions as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies.
• Maintain organized case files and client communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law or related field.
• Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with contract law and litigation processes is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law or Tulane University Law School (or expected graduation within the year).

Certifications

• Active bar membership (Louisiana Bar preferred).

Skills

• Strong skills in providing legal advice and conducting thorough research.
• Demonstrated ability to engage in effective negotiation to represent and defend clients' interests.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Relevant experience or familiarity with state and federal laws applicable in Louisiana.
