Mid to Senior level Tax Associate Attorney

A law firm in Portland is seeking an experienced Mid to Senior level Tax Associate Attorney with 5-8 years of experience. The candidate will primarily handle transactional tax matters and collaborate closely with securities and finance lawyers, as well as interact with investment bankers, financial

advisors, and government officials nationwide.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on transactional tax matters, including tax planning and structuring.
• Conduct comprehensive research on tax laws, regulations, and precedents.
• Draft and review tax-related documents, agreements, and contracts.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to address client needs and objectives.
• Represent clients in tax-related negotiations, audits, and disputes.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice law in Oregon.
• 5-8 years of experience practicing tax law.
• Strong understanding of transactional tax matters and related legal principles.
• Experience with tax matters related to public finance, tax-exempt organizations, or similar fields preferred.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the Oregon State Bar.
