Duties:

• Client Consultation: Meet with clients to evaluate their cases, offer legal advice, and assess the viability of claims.
• Case Investigation: Gather evidence, including medical records, witness statements, and accident reports. Consult with experts to strengthen case arguments.
• Legal Research: Stay informed about developments in personal injury law and research case-specific legal issues.
• Drafting Legal Documents: Prepare and file essential legal documents such as complaints, motions, discovery requests, and responses. Draft settlement demands and negotiation letters.
• Negotiation: Negotiate with opposing counsel, insurance companies, and other parties to secure favorable settlements. Participate in mediation and alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Court Representation: Represent clients in court hearings, motions, and trials. Present evidence, examine witnesses and advocate on behalf of clients.
• Client Communication: Keep clients updated on case progress and provide clear guidance through the litigation process.
• Legal Strategy: Develop and execute legal strategies tailored to each case. Address potential challenges and adjust strategies as necessary.
• Trial Preparation and Attendance: Prepare for trials, including witness prep and organizing evidence. Represent clients during trial proceedings.
• Legal Ethics and Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal ethics, maintain confidentiality, and comply with all legal regulations.
• Continuing Legal Education: Pursue ongoing legal education to stay current with industry developments.
• Case Management: Manage caseloads efficiently, ensuring all cases progress promptly.

Requirements:

• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar Admission: Admission to the Florida Bar and in good standing.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation. A proven record of successful case outcomes is required.
• 3+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience
• Skills:
  • Ability to represent clients with personal injury claims.
  • Proficient in preparing and drafting legal documents.
  • Negotiation skills for settlement discussions.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal issues in a clear and client-friendly manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.
