A law firm seeks an Associate Immigration Attorney in Las Vegas, Nevada. The successful candidate will manage their caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants.

Duties

• Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions.
• Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Manage a workload of diverse cases.
• Conduct intake with detained individuals at centers.
• Prepare immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
• Review and adjust immigration applications/packets as needed.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and community organizations on immigration law changes.
• Meet with potential clients for strategic consultations and strategy development.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.
• Submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements

• 1 to 4 years of experience in Immigration Law.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Preferably bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward.
• Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
• Experience with Case Management Software is preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law.
