Winston & Strawn's New York office is looking for a practice attorney to join its litigation group. The primary responsibility of this position is to handle consumer litigation for a large bank client in defending against mortgage-related claims for wrongful foreclosure, title challenge, predatory lending, violation of unfair trade practices, violation of financial consumer acts (RESPA, TILA, FCRA, ECOA, etc.), fraud, and servicing errors. In addition to having strong academic credentials and excellent legal research and writing skills, the candidate should have strong organizational and analytical skills. Candidates should have the ability to work in a collaborative team environment, manage a large case-load efficiently, and be able to provide excellent client service. Financial services and/or mortgage litigation experience preferred, but not required. Previous federal and state court experience would be helpful. The position is not a partnership track position. All candidates must be admitted to the New York State Bar.
