A law firm seeks a highly skilled and experienced Partner-Level Attorney to join its foreclosure department in Merrillville, Indiana. This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid or in-office role, ideal for an attorney who excels at representing lenders in mortgage foreclosure litigation.

Duties

• Lead and manage all aspects of mortgage foreclosure cases from inception to resolution.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and complex court documents.
• Oversee a robust foreclosure litigation caseload, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
• Actively represent clients in court, including trials, hearings, and depositions.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing strategic legal advice and updates.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure high-quality legal services.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the Indiana Bar; admission to the Illinois or Michigan Bar is a plus.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience representing lenders in mortgage foreclosure litigation.
• Exceptional analytical, research, and legal writing skills.
• Proven track record of handling complex litigation from start to finish.
• Familiarity with platforms such as LPS/Black Knight and Tempo is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple high-priority cases, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Portable book of business to bring to the firm.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active admission to the Indiana Bar.
