Duties

• Independently manage a litigation caseload from start to finish.
• Attend court hearings in various counties and courthouses.
• Monitor case files to ensure deadlines are met; investigate facts and legal matters to determine causes of action.
• Research, analyze, and interpret law sources such as statutes, rules, regulations, ordinances, court decisions, and legal opinions.
• Assist with document review.

Requirements

• Good standing with the Indiana bar; Illinois license also preferred.
• Experience managing own caseload and handling all aspects of litigation.
• Interest in litigating in other fields of practice.
• Strong organization and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to provide writing samples.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Deposition experience required.
• Strong litigation skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Indiana.
