Job Overview:
A law firm is looking to hire an Estate Planning Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping families plan for their futures through personalized estate plans. The attorney will work closely with clients to craft solutions that meet their needs and ensure peace of mind for their loved ones.

Location:

  • Cary, NC

Duties:

  • Draft and revise estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Advise clients on asset protection and tax minimization strategies.
  • Conduct client meetings to understand their estate planning needs and goals.
  • Educate clients on their estate planning options and explain complex legal concepts.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants to manage legal documents and filings.
  • Provide ongoing legal support throughout the estate administration process.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to ensure continuous improvement and high-quality service.

Requirements:

  • Licensed attorney in North Carolina.
  • At least 2 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and estate and trust administration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for clients.
  • Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and meet deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.

Skills:

  • Expertise in estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate administration.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for both client relationships and internal collaboration.
  • Organizational and time management skills for managing a caseload.
  • Ability to handle complex legal matters with empathy and care for clients.
