Duties:

• Provide expert legal guidance on estate planning, including drafting wills, trusts, and other related documents
• Assist clients with estate administration processes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Advise on tax planning strategies and help clients optimize tax outcomes in estate-related matters
• Represent clients in probate court and other legal proceedings as necessary
• Work closely with other attorneys and professionals in the firm to ensure comprehensive service delivery
• Stay current on changes in estate law and taxation to provide informed, up-to-date advice
• Build and maintain client relationships, offering personalized solutions for their estate planning needs

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in trusts and estates law, including estate planning, administration, and tax-related issues
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an emphasis on attention to detail
• Proven ability to handle complex legal matters independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues
• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Connecticut Bar required
• An LLM in Taxation is a plus
