A law firm seeks an experienced Personal Injury Attorney in Union, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience handling a variety of personal injury cases, including auto, motorcycle, truck, and slip-and-fall accidents. The attorney will work closely with paralegals and legal assistants to advocate for clients and manage cases from intake to verdict or settlement.

Duties

• Communicate with clients to understand their legal needs and provide advice.
• Develop strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively.
• Review discovery documents and determine the best course of action for each client.
• Conduct full depositions and oral hearings of witnesses and experts.
• Prepare all necessary documents to file cases, managing a caseload of 150.
• Collaborate with legal assistants and paralegals to prepare comprehensive briefs for trial.
• Maintain a schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences.
• Supervise two paralegals.

Requirements

• Must have 5 years of plaintiff's personal injury experience.
• Must be licensed in NJ.
• Proficiency in negotiating settlements with insurance carriers.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to multi-task and exhibit organizational skills.
• Experience with trials.
• Demonstrate team player and collaborative attributes.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to travel to court.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
• Hybrid work flexibility.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
