Job Overview:
A law firm located in Peoria, IL, with a focus on real estate development, is actively seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 1-15 years of legal experience. This role offers exposure to diverse practice areas, including real estate, estate planning, business law, municipal law, and litigation. The ideal candidate will be ready to contribute to a dynamic legal team while advancing their practice in both transactional and litigation settings.

Duties:

• Handle legal matters in commercial and residential real estate transactions

• Provide estate planning services, including trusts and wills

• Advise business clients on corporate governance and transactions

• Represent public sector clients, including municipalities and local governmental bodies

• Participate in litigation, including preparation, hearings, and client advocacy

• Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents

• Conduct legal research and develop strategies to support client objectives

• Engage in client development and firm initiatives

Requirements:

• 1-15 years of legal practice in one or more of the following areas: real estate, estate planning, government law, business law, or litigation

• Demonstrated experience managing cases or transactions independently or in collaboration with a team

• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

• Proven ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Illinois

Skills:

• Proficient in legal research and drafting

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities

• Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• Strategic thinker with practical problem-solving skills
