A law firm seeks a Senior Litigation Counsel to join their team in Tampa, FL. The attorney will handle employment and housing discrimination, as well as directors and officers liability matters, representing a diverse range of clients in federal and state courts and administrative agencies.

Duties

• Defend clients in employment and housing discrimination cases.
• Handle directors and officers liability claims.
• Conduct trial work, appellate work, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Manage pre-trial investigations and discovery.
• Draft pleadings and engage in dispositive motion practice.
• Provide formal written analysis and litigation strategies to clients.
• Maintain ongoing communication and responsiveness to clients and colleagues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of litigation experience in employment liability and housing discrimination.
• Experience with wage and hour, ADA claims, and directors and officers claims.
• Knowledge of federal and state court and administrative agency rules.
• Strong oral and written advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Critical thinking and analytical skills for complex legal issues.
• Proficiency in digital case management and communication technology.
• Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume workload.

Education

• J.D. Degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in relevant jurisdictions.
