Job Overview:
A reputable law firm located in Fort Collins, CO, is seeking a results-driven Litigation Associate with hands-on experience in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings, particularly in personal injury matters. The role is designed for a mid-level litigator who thrives in a dynamic environment and is confident managing a case docket independently from filing through verdict, with dedicated paralegal support. This position is being recruited by a legal talent acquisition firm on behalf of the law practice.

Duties:

• Manage a litigation caseload of approximately 30 personal injury matters

• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence

• Conduct and defend depositions

• Prepare and respond to written discovery requests

• Develop and execute trial strategies in collaboration with team members

• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances

• Supervise and coordinate activities with the assigned paralegal

• Maintain effective client communication and deliver high-quality legal service

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Colorado

• 4-9 years of civil litigation experience

• Demonstrated trial and courtroom experience strongly preferred

• Familiarity with the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure

• Prior experience in plaintiff-side personal injury cases is advantageous

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Must be in good standing with the Colorado State Bar

Skills:

• Excellent legal writing and research capabilities

• Strong oral advocacy and negotiation skills

• High level of attention to detail and organization

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines

• Strong interpersonal skills and client service orientation

• Proficiency in case management systems and legal technology
