A law firm seeks an experienced associate to join its Corporate Transactions and Advisory group in Houston, Texas, with a focus on upstream, midstream, and broader oil and gas transactions. The successful candidate will engage in sophisticated domestic and international energy transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and infrastructure projects.

Duties

• Advise on upstream and midstream acquisitions and divestitures.
• Manage mergers and acquisitions and joint venture transactions.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements in the oil and gas sector.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on complex transactions.
• Provide practical, business-oriented advice to clients.

Requirements

• At least three years of law firm experience in oil and gas transactions.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with cross-border transactions preferred.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the Texas Bar or eligibility to waive in.
