A law firm in Myrtle Beach, SC, is seeking an experienced General Liability Defense Attorney to join their team. The role involves handling a diverse caseload of litigation matters with a focus on defending clients in general liability cases.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of litigation from case inception through trial, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Conduct thorough legal research and provide analysis of complex legal issues related to general liability defense.
• Represent clients at court hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Develop and execute effective case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, witnesses, experts, and internal team members.
• Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management and client service.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar membership in good standing in South Carolina.
• Should have experience practicing law with a strong emphasis on general liability defense.
• Proven ability to independently manage a diverse caseload.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Trial experience is a plus.
• Negotiation skills and the ability to effectively resolve disputes.
