Job Overview:
A leading national law firm is seeking a mid-level associate attorney to join its Corporate & Securities practice group as part of its highly regarded Healthcare Industry Team. This position focuses on representing healthcare clients in strategic corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and joint ventures. The role offers hands-on experience working directly with sophisticated clients across the healthcare ecosystem—including hospitals, provider systems, digital health companies, and investors. The ideal candidate will bring strong transactional experience, a collaborative approach, and a desire to grow within a dynamic and rapidly evolving practice area.
Location:
Duties:
Advise healthcare clients through all phases of strategic corporate transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, and private equity deals
Draft and negotiate transaction documents, operating agreements, and ancillary contracts
Support clients with corporate formation, governance, restructuring, and operational strategy
Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas including regulatory, antitrust, and tax
Participate in due diligence, risk analysis, and deal execution
Assist with client relationship management and business development activities
Contribute to firm training and knowledge sharing efforts related to healthcare and corporate transactions
Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and/or joint venture transactions
Previous experience working with healthcare sector clients is preferred
Ability to handle complex matters independently and within a team structure
Comfortable communicating directly with clients, senior attorneys, and external advisors
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
Strong academic credentials required
Certifications:
Active bar membership in the state corresponding to the chosen office location
Member in good standing with the applicable State Bar
Skills:
Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Strong organizational and time management capabilities
Strategic thinker with attention to detail and commercial awareness
