A law firm seeks an entry-level insurance defense litigation associate attorney in Dayton, OH. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various areas of defense litigation, including premises liability, auto/trucking, construction, fire, subrogation, and coverage cases.

Duties

• Gain experience in premises liability, auto/trucking, construction, fire, subrogation, and coverage cases.
• Assist with depositions, written discovery, motions, mediations, and trials under partner supervision.
• Work directly with shareholders and experienced associates.
• Receive support from experienced paralegal and legal secretarial staff.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of Ohio civil or criminal litigation experience (law clerk/internship/recent grads also considered).
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Eagerness to learn and manage increasing docket independence over time.
• Ohio bar in good standing (or eligible).

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
