Labor and Employment Associate Attorney

A law firm in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of labor and employment defense experience. The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school, be a member of The Florida Bar, and have a strong background in employment counseling, litigation, and excellent legal research and writing skills.

Duties:

• Provide employment counseling and litigation representation before federal and state courts and government agencies.
• Counsel employers on labor and employment law issues.
• Conduct witness interviews and investigations related to employment matters.
• Draft position statements in response to legal actions.
• Prepare employee handbooks, policies, employment agreements, and separation agreements.
• Manage employment-related litigation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission to The Florida Bar.
• 3-5 years of labor and employment defense experience.

Skills:

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience in counseling employers on labor and employment law matters.
• Ability to conduct witness interviews and investigations.
• Proficient in drafting position statements, handbooks, policies, and agreements.
