The ideal candidate will have extensive courtroom experience and the ability to manage complex cases independently.

Duties

• Serve as lead counsel on felony, complex, and high-stakes criminal defense matters.
• Handle select civil litigation matters, including motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Manage cases from intake through resolution with full accountability for strategy and outcomes.
• Develop and execute tailored defense and litigation strategies.
• Represent clients in hearings, negotiations, and jury trials.
• Draft, review, and argue motions, briefs, and legal filings.
• Maintain organized, trial-ready case files and ensure deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with internal teams and provide clear communication to clients.

Requirements

• Extensive criminal defense experience with increasing responsibility.
• Experience handling civil litigation matters.
• 50+ jury trials preferred; significant first-chair experience valued.
• Federal criminal case exposure.
• Prior prosecutorial experience strongly preferred.
• Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
• Strong courtroom presence and strategic thinking.
• Ability to meet or exceed billable hour expectations.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active Florida Bar license.
