A nationally recognized litigation firm is seeking a Transportation Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Denver, Colorado office. This position is ideal for a mid-level attorney with experience in transportation and general casualty litigation. The role offers the opportunity to work with a major international logistics client, handle complex litigation under the guidance of senior attorneys, and collaborate with legal professionals across the country. Manage litigation caseloads under the supervision of senior attorneys, from inception through resolution
Conduct legal research and analyze transportation-related laws and regulations
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and discovery responses
Participate in court hearings, mediations, and depositions
Negotiate settlements and client agreements with strong advocacy
Collaborate with legal teams across multiple offices in a fast-paced environment
Prepare strategic case analysis reports for client stakeholders
Stay current with emerging legal issues in logistics, trucking, and e-commerce sectors
3–8 years of experience in general casualty litigation
Prior exposure to transportation and logistics or trucking regulation strongly preferred
Deposition and motion practice experience required
Trial experience preferred
Familiarity with e-commerce or gig economy legal issues is a plus
Ability to manage multiple complex cases while working collaboratively
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
Active license to practice law in the state of Colorado
Strong legal research and analytical skills
Excellent written and oral communication abilities
Proficiency in litigation technologies and document management tools
Superior attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
