Duties

• Manage and represent clients in a wide range of insurance defense cases, such as premises liability, construction defects, personal injury, and professional liability.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, from case inception through to trial, including drafting pleadings, taking depositions, and engaging in discovery.
• Prepare and argue motions, attend hearings, and represent clients in court trials.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop strategic legal plans for case resolution.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and provide insightful advice on case outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
• Work effectively with legal teams to collect evidence and prepare cases for trial.

Requirements

• Experience:
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in litigation, particularly in insurance defense.
  • Previous experience with premises liability, construction defects, personal injury, and professional liability cases is highly desirable.
• Licensing:
  • Active member of the Florida State Bar, in good standing.
• Skills:
  • Strong litigation, negotiation, and trial skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of cases and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
  • Capacity to think critically and develop effective legal strategies.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
