Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Houston is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience in general commercial litigation. The successful candidate will handle a diverse range of litigation matters, contributing to strategic planning, client interactions, and courtroom advocacy.

Job Duties:

• Collaborate with partners and clients to develop effective litigation strategies.
• Conduct all aspects of litigation, including discovery (e.g., depositions, document review, expert witness preparation), motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Manage e-discovery processes and navigate discovery disputes efficiently.
• Draft and argue motions, take and defend depositions, and conduct fact and expert discovery.
• Handle employment litigation matters as needed.
• Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and effective representation.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in general commercial litigation, preferably with exposure to various industries.
• Admission to the Texas State Bar or ability to waive in.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy abilities.
• Proven ability to manage complex litigation matters independently and collaboratively.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Top academic credentials preferred.

Skills:

• Proficiency in conducting legal research and drafting legal documents.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Experience in employment litigation is a plus.
• Client-focused approach and strong interpersonal skills.
