Senior Corporate Counsel
The candidate will draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts with clinics, labs, health systems, pharma companies and more, the majority of which will be in the U.S. Advise on legal and regulatory aspects of telemedicine and digital health in the U.S., including the corporate practice of medicine, diagnostic testing services and marketing regulation. Review and negotiate commercial contracts, clinical research agreements, agreements with physician entities, and payer agreements. Develop policies and procedures to operationalize best practices and ensure regulatory compliance. Communicate with regulators and advise on licensing issues. Provide business and legal perspective and advice on a wide range of strategic, tactical and operational issues. Create rules for corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, governance, joint ventures, regulatory matters, fraud and abuse, privacy and security, provider-payor contracts, digital health, clinical research, and employment. Develop facts in support of legal diligence and investigations. Develop guidelines for Corporate governance support. Assume the responsibilities of the Board Secretary when healthcare venture becomes a standalone venture. Should have 8 years of relevant legal experience within a leading health plan, a healthcare system, a telehealth company, or a healthcare-focused law firm. A J.D. from a national recognized law school with excellent academic credentials Admitted to practice in good standing with at least one U.S. State Bar. Significant in-house experience working closely with business, product, marketing and sales teams. Experience with privacy laws and regulations, including HIPAA. Top-tier law firm experience and privacy and employment experience are a plus. Strong negotiation skills, along with business acumen, and a passion for entrepreneurship and innovation. Ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment with an aptitude for creative problem-solving.
