Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced midlevel associate to join the Corporate M&A team in Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of Corporate M&A experience, with a preference for private equity transaction experience.

Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate merger agreements, stock purchase agreements, and related documents.
• Handle partnership agreements, joint ventures, and LLC operating agreements.
• Take substantial responsibility for closing M&A and related transactions.
• Conduct due diligence reviews.
• Advise clients on general corporate and business matters.

Requirements

• Three to five years of Corporate M&A experience.
• Experience with private equity transactions preferred.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the state bar.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
