A law firm seeks an Estate Planning and Estate Administration Attorney - Junior Partner in Greater Boston. This role is pivotal to the firm's Trusts and Estates practice, requiring legal and operational expertise, strategic thinking, and a commitment to client service.

Duties

  • Serve as the primary interface with clients, opposing counsel, and courts on estate matters.
  • Oversee strategy and decision-making with guidance from the Department Head.
  • Handle complex legal work and resolve issues for associates and paralegals.
  • Lead and manage a team, ensuring workflow and deadlines are met.
  • Review work product, conduct training, and provide feedback.
  • Manage billing, monitor accounts receivable, and address financial issues.
  • Engage in business development and maintain referral relationships.
  • Participate in continuing legal education and training.
  • Record and bill approximately 1,130 hours per year.

Requirements

  • Licensed and experienced Massachusetts attorney with a minimum of five years in Trusts and Estates.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage estate matters accurately.
  • Leadership skills to manage a team and hold members accountable.
  • Effective client-facing communication skills.
  • Practical problem-solving abilities.
  • Financial awareness in billing and accounts management.
  • Willingness to participate in business development activities.
  • Commitment to professional growth and development.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.
